Acier Lachine is looking for someone with experience in handling steel using an overhead crane and a forklift.
This is a full-time job with the possibility of a lot of overtime if you wish. There is never a seasonal layoff because the work is constant throughout the year.
We are a company founded 27 years ago, very solid financially and working in an area where there is no slowdown!
Responsibilities:
• Preparation of steel orders for customers.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Place the steel receivers in the shelves.
• Operate the overhead crane (internal training).
• Operate a forklift (operator card, an asset)
• Keep the warehouse in order.
• Work in compliance with safety rules
• Wear protective equipment: steel cap shoes, helmet and gloves as required
• Perform any other task at the request of his immediate superior.
Requirements:
• Good physical shape (Pull / Lift)
• Motivated by manual work and good dexterity (maneuvering overhead cranes)
• The ability to work in a team
• Experience in the steel sector and with an overhead crane (an asset)
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
